Additional questions in the Reiseanalyse

Each year, the FUR adds several questions concerning current topics to the standard question programme of the Reiseanalyse. A prerequisite for the use of these questions is the basic subscription to the RA. Subscribers obtain a 'right of use' and receive the results of the relevant question in form of tabulations. 

In previous Reiseanalyse surveys the following questions on special topics were included:

  • Business trips

  • Low-cost trips (set of questions)

  • ‘All-inclusive’ as a holiday type

  • Car rental on holiday trips last year and holiday activity ‘use of car rental’ on holiday trips in the previous 3 years (set of questions)

  • Standard of accommodation on holiday trips last year

  • Experience with and interest in ‘last-minute holiday trips’

  • Experience with and interest in ‘short cruise trips’

  • Experience with and interest in ‘domestic holidays in a 4- to 5- star hotel’

  • Experience with and interest in ‘language holidays/language courses while on holiday’

  • Booking places and booking channels for holiday trips

  • Planned expenditure for holiday trips and cost-saving options (two questions)

  • Wishes, desires and dreams with regard to holidays in general

  • Expectations concerning travel agencies and the use of travel agencies in the past five years

  • Expectations concerning online travel agencies

  • Internet usage (extended question in addition to Internet usage in general)

  • Internet booking (extended questioning of Internet booking purposes)

  • Assessment of the perceived economic situation, in general and personally

  • Assessment of the perceived risk of terror, in general and personally while on holiday

  • Impact of the financial crisis, climate change and energy costs on holiday travel plans
