This website provides you with information about the Reiseanalyse (RA) and the Forschungsgemeinschaft Urlaub und Reisen e.V. (FUR).
The FUR is an independent association of domestic and international users of tourism research in Germany. The Reiseanalyse is carried out annually by the FUR.


First Results of Reiseanalyse 2017

The Forschungsgemeinschaft Urlaub und Reisen e.V. is pleased to present you the First Results of the Reiseanalyse 2017. In the year 2016 holiday travel volumes and travel intensity in Germany stayed almost unchanged at a very high level, but the choice of travel destinations and travel behavior were influenced by the current conditions. The insecurity of holiday travelers caused by the terrorist attacks of the years 2015 and 2016 became visible in clear shifts of the tourist flows. Concerning holiday planning for the year 2017, 38% of the population feel affected by terror in their decision making process.

RA-trend study "German Holiday Travel 2025": Update available

Since the first release of the RA trend study "German holiday travel 2025" in 2014, a number of new findings on Germany's population structure and extended time series data have improved the possibilities of trend analysis for the target year 2025. 

Therefore, we decided to update the RA-trend study 2025 in its core elements. In addition to the updated forecasts, we also added a special chapter on the influence of terror on touristic demand. 

The RA-trend study "German holiday travel 2025" and its update 2016 will be available from November 2016. Both publications will be sold as a bundle. Owners of the RA-trend study will get a special discount for the additional update. 

The update 2016 is only available in German language.

Just published: Summary of RA 2016

The annual summary of the main findings of Reiseanalyse 2016 is already available.

Our publication provides you with selected results, time series data and current developments on the German travel market. A detailed evaluation of short trips of the Germans and SINUS milieus is also included. 

The summary of the RA 2016 (soft cover binding, 100 pages) is available for a price of € 290 (excl. VAT).

Become a partner of the Reiseanalyse 2017

The Forschungsgemeinschaft Urlaub und Reisen e.V. (FUR) invites you cordially to become a partner of the Reiseanalyse 2017.

The Reiseanalyse is an annually conducted multi-client survey, influenced and commissioned by its clients, national and international DMOs, tour operators, associations and publishing houses. The Reiseanalyse provides a representative overview of the holiday travel behaviour of the German-speaking population in Germany as well as time series data.
